At £89.99 the PROIRON is the cheapest set in this ranking, and it is the only one that reaches its weight without a dial: this is a spinlock pair, two 10kg dumbbells assembled by threading on cast plates, which is why the published item weight of 20kg finally confirms what arrives in the box.

The trade is a minute of your session every time you change weight, against the seconds a dial takes. What you get for the difference is real walnut on the handles and a set that one owner weighed at exactly 10.00kg per dumbbell, with every plate matching its stated weight. One thing to know before ordering: the walnut trays in the product photographs are not included, and the listing says so in its last bullet.

## Questions people ask

**Is it a dial or a spinlock?**

Spinlock. You thread the plates on and tighten a collar, which is slower than a dial but simpler, and it is why the item weight of 20kg is accurate.

**Is the wood real?**

The handles are solid walnut. The chromed plates are covered in a wood-effect laminate, as one owner points out after inspecting them closely.

**Are the trays included?**

No. The last bullet of the listing says the wood trays are not part of the set, even though they appear in the photographs.

**How accurate are the weights?**

One buyer weighed a complete dumbbell at 10.00kg, with every plate matching its stated weight and the handle accounting for 1.50kg of it.

**Why is it not higher if it is the cheapest?**

Because 10kg per hand is the lowest ceiling in this guide alongside the Lifepro, and changing weight takes manual work.
