The EVO Fitness matte pads and gloves set sits at number six in our guide to boxing pads, at £34.99 with a 4.6 out of 5 rating from 344 ratings. It is a two-part product sold as one purchase, and the listing says so — and then argues with itself. The 'Number of Items' field reads 2, while the 'Unit Count' field reads 1.0 count. Same page, two different answers about how much arrives.

The weight is the clearest sign that both parts really are in the box: 890 g, the heaviest figure attached to any set in this guide, against 635 g for the RDX pair and 300 g for the ONEX set. The glove size is where the numbers stop agreeing. The size field reads 'Deal with 10oz Gloves'; one of the reviews describes training with 'the 16oz boxing gloves', a size the listing does not offer. The materials split the same way — the spec sheet says Faux Leather, a bullet promises 'Maya Nubuck REX Leather'. Everything on this page is read off the Amazon listing, not from any test of our own.
