The Dripex Free Standing Punch Bag takes second place in this guide. It is a pedestal bag rather than a hanging one: a 178 cm column on a double-layer base that you fill yourself, so there is no drilling into a wall or ceiling. It costs £115.99 and carries 4.4 out of 5 from 5,634 ratings.

The word "heavy" on this listing needs unpacking. The only weights Dripex gives are 182-200 lb with sand and 137-150 lb with water, and both of those describe the base after you have filled it — the bag's own weight is not stated anywhere in the advert. The height, at least, is consistent: the bullet says approx 70 in / 178 cm and the item dimensions say 178 cm high. The 19 suction cups come with their own condition, working only on smooth marble, tile or wooden floors. Everything on this page is drawn from the Amazon listing; we have not tested the bag ourselves.

## Questions people ask

**How tall is the Dripex free standing punch bag?**

The listing says it stands approx 70 in / 178 cm, and the item dimensions give 178 cm in height. The base itself is about 12 in high.

**What does the base weigh once filled?**

Dripex lists 182-200 lb with sand and 137-150 lb with water. Both figures are for the base after filling, not for the bag on its own.

**Do the suction cups work on carpet?**

No. The listing states the 19 suction cups work only on smooth marble, tile or wooden floors.

**Who is it recommended for?**

The listing suggests adults or teens between 47 and 73 in tall, and mentions boxing, kickboxing and taekwondo at home.

**Sand or water in the base?**

The listing gives both options, 182-200 lb with sand and 137-150 lb with water. A buyer review notes that water sloshes back and forth and can find its way through gaps around the plug, so sand is recommended there.

**What is the model number and warranty?**

The Dripex model number is JW020 and the listing gives a 1 year manufacturer warranty.
