The Senshi Japan wooden rings sit at number 9 in this guide. They are listed at £25.49 with a 4.5 out of 5 rating from 271 ratings, sold as a pack of two wooden hoops with XXL straps, a door anchor, grip tape and a carry bag, and the spec sheet gives a date first available of 12 Aug. 2015.

The numbers on this listing are where it gets interesting. The product name calls them "THE 2021 WINNER*" and promises "Thick 32mm Hoops", but the spec sheet never gives a ring diameter at all — the 32mm appears once, in the title, and nowhere in the specifications. A bullet says each wooden ring is made to withstand up to 150 kg, while the same spec sheet puts the entire pack at 25 x 25 x 8 cm and 1 kg, which would have to cover two wooden rings, the XXL straps, the door anchor, the grip tape and the carry bag. The star breakdown shown on the page also adds up to 100 — 74 five-star, 13 four-star, 7 three-star, 3 two-star and 3 one-star — against the 271 ratings quoted above it. Every figure here comes from the Amazon listing, not from any testing we carried out.
