The Bseash 40L is the eighth pack in this guide: a soft-shell nylon daypack with a rain cover in its base, a water-bladder pocket inside, reflective stripes on the shoulder straps and a listed weight of 1.43lb. It sells at £23.99 and carries 4.3 out of 5 from 1,043 Amazon ratings.

The litre figure in its own name does not survive the tape measure. The same listing gives the size as 59 x 25 x 16 cm; multiply those out and you get 23.6 litres, not 40 — a 41% shortfall against the number on the label. The listing is also unsure how waterproof it is: the title says waterproof, while the bullet points and the spec table both say water-resistant. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing for this pack, not from any test of our own.
