The Elite Direto XR-T is the second entry in this guide and the most expensive trainer we ranked. It is a direct-drive unit — the listing calls it a "Direto-XR T direct drive FE-C mag trainer with OTS power meter" — priced at £690.63 and rated 4.5 out of 5 from 97 ratings. The spread inside those 97 is worth knowing: 77 are five-star and 8 are one-star, so roughly one buyer in twelve gave it the lowest mark.

What holds it back from the top spot is not a performance figure but a pair of weights that cannot both be true. The spec sheet gives the item weight as 18.1 kg. A bullet on the same page reads "Item package weight: 200 grams" — about one ninety-first of the item weight it sits beside. The Load Capacity field says 120 kg, a rider weight limit the headline never mentions, and the material is listed as plastic. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing for this trainer, not from any test of our own.
