The Wahoo KICKR ROLLR sits fourth in our turbo trainer guide at £549.99. It is a roller-style unit with magnetic resistance, a listed item weight of 25 kg and dimensions of 27.9 x 82.6 x 101 cm. What makes its fiche worth reading is how candid its own bullets are: "Power Meter Connect pairs to ANT+ power meters" and "Power meter required for power and cadence data". So the money buys speed and distance measurement and a connection to a power meter — the watts come from a meter you already own or buy separately. No bullet on the page claims a built-in power figure, and we are not going to invent one for it.

The rating line is where the numbers loosen a little. The listing carries 4.1 out of 5 from 118 ratings, but the five bars printed underneath add up to 100 reviews: 64 at five stars, 13 at four, 10 at three, 3 at two and 10 at one. The spec sheet also puts "Wheel Size: 30 Millimetres" against a trainer that takes the whole bike, and "Number of settings: 5" with nothing on the page to explain what those settings change. Everything here is read off the Amazon listing — nothing on this page comes from our own testing, and we have not ridden the ROLLR.
