The Foxup window feeder is the second best seller in Amazon's bird feeder category: £8.95, 4.5 stars from 1,689 ratings, a clear acrylic tray on three suction cups at 310g.

It takes first place because it is the cheapest product in this ranking and the best reviewed among the single feeders, and because it is the only one that says which birds it is for: robins, blue tits, sparrows and finches. It makes no squirrel-proof claim, which is right for a feeder held on by suction.

## Questions people ask

**How does it attach?**

Three suction cups onto any clean glass window, with no tools required.

**Will squirrels get into it?**

Possibly, and the listing makes no squirrel-proof claim: a suction-mounted tray cannot stop one, so it does not pretend otherwise.

**How much seed does it hold?**

The listing does not publish a capacity, only the tray dimensions of 15 x 6.5 x 15cm.

**Which birds will use it?**

The listing names robins, blue tits, sparrows and finches, which is what a tray this size suits.

**Do the suction cups hold?**

5 per cent of its 1,689 ratings are one-star, mostly about adhesion. Cleaning the glass first is what the reviews advise.

**How many ratings does it have?**

1689 at the time of collection, averaging 4.5 stars, with 75 per cent five-star and 5 per cent one-star.
