The Green Haven set is three metal hanging feeders for £11.99 with 4.5 stars from 526 ratings: a tube for seeds, a dense mesh for nuts and a coarse mesh for fat balls.

It takes third because £11.99 for three is £4.00 each, and because its specification shows what this category's data is worth: it lists squirrel proof as a feature and Cardinal as the target species, and there are no cardinals in Britain.

## Questions people ask

**How much is each feeder?**

£4.00: three for £11.99. The headline is the pack, the useful number is the unit.

**Is it really squirrel proof?**

It is claimed as a special feature. Metal mesh and a hanging mount deter squirrels; nothing at this price proves it.

**What is the cardinal reference?**

An error from a US data feed. The field says Cardinal as the target species, and there are no cardinals in the UK.

**Can I put fat balls in them?**

Yes, the coarse mesh feeder is designed for fat balls and the dense mesh for nuts.

**Why is it third?**

Three feeders for the price of one and a half, with a good sample — behind two listings whose capacity data is more trustworthy.

**How many ratings does it have?**

526 at the time of collection, averaging 4.5 stars, with 70 per cent five-star and 3 per cent one-star.
