This pair of hanging feeders costs £12.27 with 4.2 stars from 499 ratings: two 23cm feeders with drain holes and a wide top cover.

It takes sixth because of how it states its capacity — 3.12 LB, which is 1.42kg, for the pair rather than each one. In a ranking where capacities come in kilograms, millilitres and pounds, this is the clearest example of a number that needs decoding before it means anything.

## Questions people ask

**What does 3.12 LB mean?**

1.42kg for the pair, so each feeder holds about 0.71kg of seed. The bracketed text is the only place the listing says it covers two.

**Why do drain holes matter?**

Wet seed grows mould, which is a common cause of illness in garden birds. Drainage is the simplest way to reduce it.

**How tall is each feeder?**

23cm with perches, which suits small garden birds.

**Is a gift option?**

Reviewers mention giving them as gifts, and the price makes it easy.

**Why sixth?**

Because the capacity needs decoding before it is useful, and 4 per cent of its ratings are one-star.

**How many ratings does it have?**

499 at the time of collection, averaging 4.2 stars, with 61 per cent five-star and 5 per cent one-star.
