The Oakdale is the cheapest feeder in this ranking at £7.99, and the only one that arrives filled: a 21.5cm metal feeder, 340g, with two perches, a top-loading cap and a bag of seed in the box.

It takes tenth because it is the lightest feeder here, publishes no capacity in any unit, and 8 per cent of its 175 ratings are one-star. As a first feeder at under £8, with the first fill included, it still does the job.

175 at the time of collection, averaging 4.2 stars, with 64 per cent five-star and 8 per cent one-star.
