The Snowpea is the most portable pit in this ranking: 1.8kg, folding to about 2.5cm, with a carrying bag and a one-year warranty, for £25.99 and 4.4 stars from 152 ratings.

It is seventh because of the steel: 1.8kg at £14.44 per kilogram is the thinnest value collected here, and the listing itself is confused about the number, quoting 1.8kg in the table, 1.9kg in the bullets and 27.99 grams in the unit count. Buy it as a beach and picnic pit, not as a garden fixture.

## Questions people ask

**How portable is it?**

It weighs 1.8kg, folds to about 2.5cm thick and comes with a carrying bag, which makes it the most portable pit in this ranking.

**What is the 27.99 gram unit count?**

A data error. It sits in the unit count field while the item weight says 1.8kg and a bullet says 1.9kg.

**Can I use it on grass?**

Yes, it stands on legs rather than sitting flat on the ground, and one buyer notes their grass was fine the next morning.

**How big is the fire?**

33cm across, which suits two or three people rather than a party.

**Does it have a warranty?**

Yes, the listing states a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

**How many ratings does it have?**

152 at the time of collection, averaging 4.4 stars, with 64 per cent five-star and 3 per cent one-star.
