The DR.ÖTEK MTXR is the third pick in this guide to the best metal detectors, at £85.99, with a 4.5 rating from 9,252 ratings. It is also the listing where the headline numbers survive contact with the specification table: the title advertises a 10in coil and the spec table lists the search coil size as 25 Centimetres — 10 inches is 25.4cm, so both figures describe the same coil rather than two competing claims. The bullets promise five detection modes and the table says Number of Programs: 5. The 4.5 rating is also consistent with its own breakdown of 100 ratings: 73 five-star, 16 four-star, 5 three-star, 2 two-star and 4 one-star average 4.52, which rounds to the figure displayed.

One figure is a centimetre loose. The bullets describe an adjustable stem of 108–136cm, while the specification's Extended Length reads 135 Centimetres. That is the size of the gap here — not the 2.5x spread this guide flags on other listings. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing itself, not from any testing we carried out.
