The Minelab Vanquish 360 is a fully automatic, waterproof metal detector priced at £259.00, and it sits at number 2 in this guide. Its angle is the opposite of the listings around it: the numbers on its page agree with one another. The bullets name a V10X 10-inch x 7-inch Double-D coil, and the specification table gives the search coil size as 25.4 Centimetres — which is what 10 inches is. The weight claims reconcile the same way, with 2.6 lbs in the bullets against 1.18 kg in the specification table. The battery description does too: a built-in lithium-ion rechargeable pack in the bullets, and an average life of 10 Hours in the table.

The weakness here is the evidence, not the specification. The rating breakdown on the page reads 86 at five stars, 7 at four and 7 at two — figures that add to 100 against the 26 ratings recorded above them, so they read as percentages rather than counts. A 4.7 out of 5 from 26 ratings is a far thinner sample than the 4,527 ratings behind the cheaper detector that opens this guide, and at £259 that is worth weighing before you buy. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing as it stands, not from any test of our own.
