The NETTA 1200W Electric Garden Tiller is number six in this guide. It is a corded electric rotavator at £99.99, and the listing gives it a 360mm working width and a 220mm tilling depth. Both of those are larger than the 30cm width and 15–20cm depth quoted for the 52cc petrol tiller that appears twice elsewhere in the guide, at £109.99 and £119.99.

Two of its own numbers deserve a second look, because neither is quite what it appears. The 400 RPM is described as a no-load speed, so it is not the speed the blades hold once they are in soil. The blade count reads "4x4 integrated steel blades", and the listing never explains what the second figure refers to. What it states plainly is 7.4kg, a 10m power cable and a 365-day warranty. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from our own testing.
