The Bosch AFS 23-37 takes the number one slot in this guide. It is a corded electric grass trimmer and brushcutter with a 950 W motor, quoted at 9,000 RPM, cutting either a 37 cm line or a 23 cm blade, priced at £127.50 and rated 4.6 from 2,695 ratings on Amazon.

The number that does not add up is in its own spec table: a mains-powered tool is filed as "1 Lithium Ion batteries required. (included)". The same table gives a single "Cutting width" of 37 centimetres, while the item highlight splits that into a 23 cm blade diameter and a 37 cm line diameter — the 23 and the 37 in the model name are two different measurements, not one. At 5.3 kg it is not a light tool, which is why the listing points you at the adjustable belt and handle. Everything below is taken from the Amazon listing, not from any testing of our own.
