The Amazon Basics is the cheapest mouse in this ranking at £8.99, with 4.0 stars from 3,698 ratings, six buttons and a 6-month battery.

It takes fourth because it is the odd one out: a curved mouse rather than a vertical one, so it improves the shape without rotating the wrist. It also has the highest one-star rate here at 9 per cent, which is what £8.99 buys.

## Questions people ask

**Is it a vertical mouse?**

No. It is a curved mouse, so the hand stays in a similar position to a standard mouse; the nine other mice here are vertical or trackball.

**Why is it so cheap?**

£8.99, and the trade is visible in the record: 9 per cent of ratings are one-star, the highest rate here.

**How long does the battery last?**

About 6 months, the shortest claim in this ranking.

**Will it suit small hands?**

One reviewer found it bulky for smaller hands; it is a full-size mouse.

**Is it good for wrist pain?**

It fits the palm better than a flat mouse, but it does not rotate the wrist, which is what vertical mice do.

**How many ratings does it have?**

3698 at the time of collection, averaging 4 stars, with 57 per cent five-star and 9 per cent one-star.
