The Logitech ERGO M575S is the best-rated mouse here: 4.6 stars from 1,742 ratings with 78 per cent five-star and 2 per cent one-star, for £29.98, with an 18-month battery.

It takes sixth because it is a different solution rather than a better vertical mouse: a trackball keeps the hand still and the thumb moves the ball, which suits a shoulder or arm problem rather than a wrist one.

## Questions people ask

**Is it a vertical mouse?**

No, it is a trackball: the hand rests in place and the thumb moves the ball, which suits arm or shoulder strain rather than wrist rotation.

**How long does the battery last?**

18 months, according to the listing.

**Is it hard to learn?**

Buyers say it takes a while to find the best finger position and then becomes natural.

**What is the ITA QWERTY bullet?**

A leftover keyboard layout from a supplier feed: the listing's only product bullet, and not a feature of the mouse.

**Why is it sixth?**

Because it is a different solution rather than a cheaper vertical mouse, and it costs £30 against £12.27 for the cheapest stated angle.

**How many ratings does it have?**

1742 at the time of collection, averaging 4.6 stars, with 78 per cent five-star and 2 per cent one-star.
