The TECKNET wired vertical mouse is the only one here with a cable: £15.99 for 6,400 DPI in four levels, eight buttons and a 57-degree tilt, with 4.5 stars from 1,576 ratings.

It takes eighth because it has no battery claim to make and the highest DPI figure here, which is a specification without a use. For a desk that never moves, the cable removes the only recurring cost a mouse has.

## Questions people ask

**Is it really the only wired one?**

Yes: every other mouse here runs on batteries or is rechargeable.

**Do I need 6,400 DPI?**

No. It is the highest figure in this ranking and office work rarely needs more than 2,000.

**What angle is it?**

57 degrees, which the listing states.

**How many buttons?**

Eight, the most here, including forward and back plus DPI switching.

**Why is it eighth?**

The cable suits a fixed desk and not a laptop bag, and the DPI figure is inflated over what the job needs.

**How many ratings does it have?**

1576 at the time of collection, averaging 4.5 stars, with 69 per cent five-star and 3 per cent one-star.
