The Scheppach HC51V is the 50-litre oil-free vertical compressor that finishes first in our air compressor guide. It sells for £199 and carries a 4.2 rating from 594 reviews, and it is the one machine in the guide whose tank figure survives being read three ways: the title, the bullet text and both spec fields that cover capacity all say 50 litres. Airflow is quoted as a 220 L/min intake capacity, at a maximum pressure of 10 bar, and the upright tank is described as a 350mm-diameter footprint so it stores against a wall rather than along one.

The listing does not agree with itself on everything. The spec table gives a hose length of 10 metres, while the included components field lists an 8m hose and accessory kit, and the motor is 1500W in the bullet text but 1499W in the spec table. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from any testing of our own.
