The Snailax Back Massager with Heat is a strap-on seat pad rather than a handheld unit: 4 deep kneading nodes travel up and down your back across 3 optional zones (full back, upper back, lower back), a 3-level vibration seat covers the hips and thighs, and the heat warms the back, lumbar and shoulders. It sits at number six in this guide at £72.19, with 4.4 out of 5 from 5,685 ratings.

The finding in this fiche is that one spec table carries two different model designations — SL-256-UK as the model name and SL-256-EU as the model number — and calls the pad waterproof on the same page that lists it as corded electric. Everything below comes from the Amazon listing for this product: the specification table, the bullet points and the customer reviews. We have not tested it.

## Questions people ask

**Which model is this, exactly?**

The spec table gives two designations: Model Name SL-256-UK and Model Number SL-256-EU. Both appear in the same table on the same listing, so the page does not settle which code you are buying.

**Does the Snailax SL-256 plug in or run on a battery?**

The spec table says Power Source: Corded Electric and Is Product Cordless: No, so it runs from a mains cable rather than a rechargeable battery.

**What does the £72.19 buy — one unit or more?**

One. The spec table lists Unit Count: 1.0 count and Number of Packs: 1, and here those two figures agree.

**Can the kneading be made gentler?**

Yes. The listing describes a detachable intensity control flap for a softer or stronger massage, and suggests placing a blanket or towel between you and the massager if the pressure still feels too strong.

**Does it have heat, and at what temperature?**

Heat is listed as a special feature and the bullet says it warms your back, lumbar and shoulders, but no temperature figure appears anywhere in the bullets or the spec table for this Snailax.

**Is it waterproof?**

The spec table's Water Resistance Level reads 'Waterproof', but the same table also lists Power Source: Corded Electric and Is Product Cordless: No. The listing gives no further detail, so treat that line with care.
