The Envirovent SIL100 is the number one pick in our best bathroom extractor fans guide. It's a 100mm axial fan with a timer, listed at £41.99. The Amazon listing quotes an extract rate of 96 cubic metres per hour (26 litres per second) and a noise output of 26.5 dB(A) at 3 metres — one of the few listings in this category to state the distance for its noise figure. It also claims 8 watts power consumption, IP45 rating, and a 99mm spigot for 100mm ducting. The listing has a 4.4-star rating from 4,001 reviews.

But the numbers in the same listing don't always agree. The bullet points say 26.5 dB(A) at 3 metres, while the specifications table lists 26 decibels. That's a small but real mismatch. Elsewhere, the specs include a 'Standby Power Shutoff' of 12 cubic meters per hour per watt — a metric that doesn't appear on any other fan listing in this guide. We haven't tested the SIL100 ourselves; everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from our own measurements.
