Opulent Home's cot bed mattress is listed at £46.74 in a 140 x 70 x 15 cm size — 43p below the cheaper of the two identical MHG-COT-MATTRESS listings higher up this guide. It is described as a four-layer, thermal-bonded fibre mattress with a zipped, machine-washable polyester cover and a built-in PU waterproof membrane, rated 4.2 out of 5 from 126 ratings. Its own model number is OTH-COTBED-MATTRESS, not the model number the twins share, so this is a separate listing rather than a third price for the same mattress.

The number that does not close here is the star breakdown. The page's own rows — 72 five-star, 7 four-star, 5 three-star and 16 one-star — come to 100 ratings, while the headline figure is 126. On the rows shown, about one rating in six is a single star, which is worth knowing alongside an average of 4.2. The firmness fields are split too: the bullets promise 'consistent, firm support' and the spec table answers 'Medium'. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing as it stands, not from a mattress we have slept on or tested.

## Questions people ask

**Is the Opulent Home cot bed mattress really 15cm thick?**

The listing gives 15 cm in four separate fields — Item Thickness, Item Depth, Size and Item Dimensions — and no other thickness figure appears anywhere on the page.

**How firm is it?**

The bullets promise 'consistent, firm support', but the Item Firmness Description field says Medium. The listing does not reconcile the two.

**Will it fit a standard cot bed?**

It is listed at 140 x 70 x 15 cm, the same footprint as the two MHG-COT-MATTRESS listings in this guide, but it carries its own model number, OTH-COTBED-MATTRESS, so it is not the same listing at a third price.

**Why is the rating 4.2 when most of the ratings are five-star?**

The breakdown on the page accounts for 100 ratings rather than the 126 in the headline figure, and 16 of those 100 rows are one-star.

**Can the cover be washed?**

Yes. The cover is zipped and removable, the product care instruction is Machine Wash, and the cover material is listed as polyester.

**Can I use it straight out of the box?**

Yes, with a caveat: the listing says it arrives compressed and roll-packed and needs 48–72 hours to return to its normal shape, though it can be used while it recovers.
