## Is the Harbour Housewares Folding Trestle Table 180cm worth buying?

The Harbour Housewares Folding Trestle Table 180cm is worth buying at £32.99 if you need to seat a crowd a few times a year and put the table away in between. It gives a 180 x 74 cm top, carries 110 kg and folds to 90 x 74 x 8.5 cm, which is 404 cm2 of tabletop for every pound you spend.

It is not the table to buy for a permanent dining room. The Harbour Housewares table stands 73.5 cm tall, lower than the 75 cm of a fixed dining table, and its top is a folding panel rather than a slab. Buy it for Christmas dinner, buffets and garden parties, and buy something with legs that stay put if the table never leaves the room.

## How much tabletop does £32.99 buy?

It buys 13,320 cm2, which works out at 404 cm2 for every pound. The top runs 180 cm long and 74 cm deep, so a buffet line, a dozen plates or a full roast spread fit with room to spare, and the 73.5 cm working height keeps everything within reach of someone standing at the edge.

That ratio is why this trestle holds its own against tables costing twice as much. The 180 cm length is the longest on this page, and the top is 1.3 inches thick, so it does not flex under a stack of plates. What the money does not buy is furniture: the top and the leg frame are plastic, with a stainless steel carrying handle at the side.

## What comes in the box and what is it like to live with?

One table, and nothing else: no chairs, no cover, no tools required. The frame arrives assembled and the legs lock into position when it opens, so the whole thing is up in under a minute. Folded, it measures 90 x 74 x 8.5 cm, which slides into a cupboard, a garage or the boot of a car.

At 14 kg the table is light enough for one person to carry between rooms and heavy enough to stay where it is put once open. The white surface resists everyday stains and wipes clean with a damp cloth, so it can be used without a tablecloth, and the locking legs keep the frame steady when people lean on the end to serve.

## Where does the Harbour Housewares Folding Trestle Table 180cm fall short?

The height is the first thing anyone notices. At 73.5 cm this table sits about 1.5 cm below a standard 75 cm dining table, so tall diners end up with their knees a little high and dining chairs look slightly out of proportion against it.

The top folds across the middle, which leaves a seam running the width of the 180 cm surface right where the plates land. The plastic frame and legs also flex a little when someone leans hard on an end, and the 110 kg limit covers a buffet and a table full of adults but nothing heavier. Folded it is 90 cm long, which is awkward in a shallow cupboard.

## How does it compare with the VASAGLE Golden Oak Kitchen Table?

The Harbour Housewares table is £26.95 cheaper than the VASAGLE Golden Oak Kitchen Table at £59.99 and gives 13,320 cm2 against 10,500 cm2, and it disappears into a cupboard where the VASAGLE stays out. The VASAGLE wins on height at 75 cm, on a heat-resistant top and on a frame rated for 100 kg that never needs folding, so it is the better buy for a table with a permanent place.

Against the VASAGLE Dining Table Set at £76.99, this trestle is £44 cheaper and 13 kg lighter than the 27 kg set. That set includes two benches and a 7,700 cm2 top built for daily meals, so take it if people need somewhere to sit; take the Harbour Housewares table if the dining room turns back into a spare room for ten months of the year.

## How much does the Harbour Housewares Folding Trestle Table 180cm weigh?

It weighs 14 kg, light enough for one adult to lift and carry with the stainless steel side handle. That is around half the 27 kg of a table-and-bench set of the same seating size.

## How big is the Harbour Housewares Folding Trestle Table 180cm when folded?

Folded it measures 90 x 74 x 8.5 cm, with a stainless steel handle on the side for carrying. The 8.5 cm thickness is what lets it stand in a cupboard or slide under a bed.

## Can the Harbour Housewares Folding Trestle Table 180cm be used outdoors?

Yes, it is built for indoor and outdoor events, with a plastic top and frame that shrug off a garden party. Wipe it with a damp cloth before folding it away and it goes back in the cupboard clean.

## Questions people ask

**How much weight can the Harbour Housewares Folding Trestle Table 180cm hold?**

It carries up to 110 kg, which covers a buffet, a stack of plates and several adults leaning on the edge. That is 10 kg more than the 100 kg fixed tables on the same page.

**How tall is the Harbour Housewares Folding Trestle Table 180cm?**

It stands 73.5 cm high. That is around 1.5 cm lower than a standard 75 cm dining table, so it suits dining chairs with a slightly shorter seat or a casual setup rather than a formal dining room.

**Does the Harbour Housewares Folding Trestle Table 180cm need a tablecloth?**

No. The white top resists everyday stains and wipes clean with a damp cloth, so it can be used bare. It wipes down just as easily after a buffet as after a crafts session.

**How many people fit around the Harbour Housewares Folding Trestle Table 180cm?**

Its 180 x 74 cm top is the longest and deepest on this page at 13,320 cm2, so it takes a full spread of dishes plus several diners along each side. The working height of 73.5 cm puts the middle of the table within reach of anyone standing to serve.

**Can the Harbour Housewares Folding Trestle Table 180cm stay outside in the rain?**

It is sold for indoor and outdoor events and its top and frame are plastic, so a shower during a garden party is not a problem. Dry it off before folding it away so the seam in the middle of the top stays flat.

**Is the Harbour Housewares Folding Trestle Table 180cm easy to store?**

Yes. It folds to 90 x 74 x 8.5 cm and has a stainless steel handle that makes it easier to carry, so it stores in a cupboard, a utility room or a garage.
