# Best Divan Bed 2026: 10 Ranked, From £94 Base to £349 Set Source: https://www.ranked10.co.uk/home/best-divan-beds Published: 2026-09-15 | Updated: 2026-09-15 | Prices checked on Amazon UK on 2026-09-15 Price is the least reliable number on a divan bed listing. The ten here run from £94 to £349, and that gap does not track better timber — it tracks how many boxes turn up. Worse, several listings contradict themselves. The £94 Tweed Grey base is filed as 'Divan Base Only' in its style field, yet the same page lists 'Drawer, Headboard' under Included Components. The £189.99 grey 3ft single says in its bullets that it is 'supplied without a mattress', while its own spec sheet lists 'Mattress' as included. And the £144 Bliss double is the 'No Drawers, No Headboard' version, yet its spec sheet also claims 'Drawer, Headboard'. We ranked ten of the best divan bed options on Amazon on three things you can check yourself: what the listing actually includes (base alone, base plus headboard, or base plus mattress), how large the review sample behind the star rating is, and whether the spec sheet agrees with the bullets. Where a listing argues with itself, we say so rather than guess. ## The ranking ### 1. Bed Centre Ziggy Plush Small Single Divan Bed Set, Beige - Price: £250.00 | Amazon rating: 4.2 from 4,975 ratings - Full review: https://www.ranked10.co.uk/home/best-divan-beds/bed-centre-ziggy-divan-set - Buy on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0H5XB8JJV?tag=ranked10-21 First because it is the only listing here whose box count, price and description all point the same way — three items, mattress included. This is the one listing where nothing contradicts anything. Number of Items reads 3, Included Components reads 'Mattress', and the Item Highlight names both the 24cm sprung memory foam mattress and the headboard. At £250 for a small single divan bed with all three parts, the arithmetic is honest: you are paying about £56 more than the cheapest base-plus-drawers option here and getting a mattress in the deal. In practice, the 51.5kg weight and the 190 × 75 × 134cm footprint describe a solid piece rather than a flat-pack frame. The two wooden drawers are same-side, and the base has headboard fixings at both ends, so you choose which side they open on. Meanwhile the 24cm mattress depth appears in both the bullets and the highlight field — a rare piece of internal consistency in this group. However, 4.2 stars from 4,975 ratings is not universal praise. The histogram puts 8% of reviewers at one star and 4% at two. Crucially, a small single is 75cm wide, which is narrow for an adult sleeper. If you need a double for two people, or you already own a mattress, you are paying for a component you will not use. Pros: Number of Items reads 3 and Included Components reads 'Mattress' — the three parts are confirmed in separate fields; 24cm sprung memory foam mattress depth stated in both the bullets and the Item Highlight; Two same-side wooden drawers, with headboard fixings at both ends so you pick the side; 4.2 stars from 4,975 ratings — the largest review sample in this list; Upholstered in beige plush velvet and handcrafted in the UK to fire-safety standards, per the listing Cons: £250 is the second-highest price here, and £156 more than the £94 base-only option; Small single measures 190 × 75 × 134cm — 75cm is a narrow sleeping surface for an adult; 8% of ratings sit at one star and 4% at two; Drawers are same-side only; the listing offers no opposite-side arrangement ### 2. ComfoRest 3FT Single Divan Bed with Drawers and Headboard - Price: £189.99 | Amazon rating: 4.6 from 153 ratings - Full review: https://www.ranked10.co.uk/home/best-divan-beds/comforest-4-panel-single-divan - Buy on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09XY1GQFV?tag=ranked10-21 Second because 4.6 stars from 153 ratings is the second-best score here — but it is also the clearest self-contradiction on the mattress question. This listing shows why the spec sheet and the bullets both need reading. One bullet states plainly that the bed is 'supplied without a mattress'; the Included Components field on the same page states 'Mattress'. One of those is wrong, and the £189.99 price — for a 3ft single with no mattress named anywhere in the title — suggests the bullet is the honest one. Meanwhile, the parts that do not contradict each other are the useful ones. The headboard is 24 inches, the base is 91.5 × 190.5cm, and the listing says it suits any UK 3ft mattress, which fits a base-only supply. Number of Items reads 1, which also fits. Worth noting, though, that its Best Sellers Rank places it 15th in Bed & Mattress Sets, a category that implies a mattress is in the box. At the same time, 4.6 stars from 153 ratings is the second-strongest score in this group, with 79% at five stars and 6% at one or two. Either way, if you need a single divan bed with drawers and already own a mattress, this is priced sensibly. If you need a mattress in the same delivery, ask before you buy — the listing will not tell you. Pros: 4.6 stars from 153 ratings — second-highest score here, with 79% of reviewers at five stars; 24-inch headboard and two drawers on a 91.5 × 190.5cm 3ft base; Stated to suit any UK 3ft mattress; No assembly required, per the spec sheet; Made in Britain, per the Item Highlight Cons: Bullets say 'supplied without a mattress' while Included Components says 'Mattress'; 153 ratings is a far smaller sample than the 4,975 behind the bed ranked first; 6% of reviewers gave one or two stars; Ranked in Bed & Mattress Sets, a category that suggests a mattress the bullets say is not there ### 3. Bed Centre Bliss Grey Linen Divan Base, 4FT6 Double, No Drawers - Price: £144.00 | Amazon rating: 4.5 from 215 ratings - Full review: https://www.ranked10.co.uk/home/best-divan-beds/bed-centre-bliss-divan-base - Buy on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08XY5N4BQ?tag=ranked10-21 Third on price and evidence together: £144 for a 4ft6 double base, 4.5 stars from 215 ratings, and the fewest parts to get wrong. The style field is unambiguous — 'No Drawers No Headboard' — and £144 is a bare-base price. Yet the Included Components field on the same page reads 'Drawer, Headboard'. That is the third self-contradiction in this group, and on a 4ft6 double it is the one most likely to end in a return. In practice, what you get is an orthopaedic platform base built from layered boards, upholstered in grey linen, flat-packed and assembled without tools. The spec sheet gives a Number of Items of 2, which fits base-plus-something rather than base alone. As a result, the safest reading is that this is the base, and that any drawer or headboard reference is a leftover from the other Bliss variants. That said, 4.5 stars from 215 ratings is strong for a base-only product, and third place in Sprung Divan Bases suggests buyers know what they are ordering. By contrast, if you want storage or a headboard, this specific listing is not the one — the £179 Bliss variant further down exists for exactly that. Pros: £144 for a 4ft6 double — the cheapest double in this group; 4.5 stars from 215 ratings, with 71% at five stars; Orthopaedic platform support from layered boards, per the bullets; Tool-free assembly and flat-packed delivery; Ranked 3rd in Sprung Divan Bases at the time of writing Cons: Included Components lists 'Drawer, Headboard' on a 'No Drawers No Headboard' variant; No headboard and no storage — you get the base; No mattress, and no mention of one; 4% of reviewers gave one star ### 4. ComfoRest 3FT Single Divan Bed with 2 Drawers and Headboard - Price: £179.90 | Amazon rating: 4.4 from 111 ratings - Full review: https://www.ranked10.co.uk/home/best-divan-beds/comforest-3ft-divan-2-drawers - Buy on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DF5KVP8H?tag=ranked10-21 Fourth because its components field is the most specific in the list, and £179.90 undercuts the similarly equipped single above it. Where the £189.99 single leaves the mattress question open, this one is clearer about everything else: 'Headboard, Drawers, Frame, Hardware'. Number of Items still reads 1, which is a packaging detail most buyers never notice. It is priced £10 below the single above it. The practical numbers are a 110kg maximum weight recommendation, a 91.5 × 190.5cm base, two drawers and a plain 24-inch headboard in grey plush. In theory this is a compact, storage-first single. Meanwhile the target audience field names 'young adults and professionals living in small apartments', which is a rare bit of honesty about who the bed is sized for. Even so, 111 ratings is a thin sample, and 4.4 stars from 111 moves more than 4.4 from 4,975. Crucially, 6% of reviewers sit at one star. If you are buying this for a child's room and want the mattress in the same order, it will not arrive — the listing never mentions one. Pros: Included Components lists Headboard, Drawers, Frame and Hardware; 110kg maximum weight recommendation; Two drawers plus a 24-inch plain headboard for £179.90; Compact 91.5 × 190.5cm base sized for smaller rooms; No assembly required, per the spec sheet Cons: 111 ratings — a small sample behind a 4.4-star score; 6% of reviewers gave one star and 3% two stars; No mattress included or mentioned anywhere; 110kg limit is lower than the £94 base, which states 500lb (about 227kg) ### 5. Bed Centre Bliss Double Divan Base, 2 Drawers, No Headboard - Price: £179.00 | Amazon rating: 4.2 from 210 ratings - Full review: https://www.ranked10.co.uk/home/best-divan-beds/bed-centre-bliss-grey-divan - Buy on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08XY4P85P?tag=ranked10-21 Fifth because it fixes the drawer ambiguity of the £144 Bliss by naming the count — 2 — and pre-fitting them, though the headboard field is still wrong. This is the Bliss base with storage spelled out: two drawers, pre-fitted before packing, on a 4ft6 double for £179. The Number of Drawers field reads 2, matching the title. That is a step up in clarity from the £144 Bliss, which names no drawer count at all. In practice, the drawers arrive covered by a strip of fabric you remove before first use. The bullets do state this, and it matters — open the box without reading them and you may think you have been sent the wrong item. There is no headboard in this variant and no mattress. As a result, £179 buys a divan bed base and two drawers, nothing more. However, the Included Components field still reads 'Drawer, Headboard', directly contradicting the 'No Headboard' in the variant name. That makes this the fourth listing in this group to disagree with itself about what is in the box. Worth noting too: 4.2 stars from 210 ratings, with 8% at one star. Pros: Two drawers pre-fitted into the base before packing; 4ft6 double for £179 — £35 more than the drawer-less version; Number of Drawers field (2) matches the title; Bullets explain the fabric cover over the drawers before first use; Available in 3ft, 4ft, 4ft6, 5ft and 6ft, per the bullets Cons: Included Components says 'Drawer, Headboard' on a No Headboard variant; No headboard and no mattress; 8% of reviewers gave one star; Drawers are same-side only, per the variant name ### 6. Bed Centre Charcoal Plush Divan Base with Matching Headboard, Double - Price: £175.00 | Amazon rating: 4.2 from 1,229 ratings - Full review: https://www.ranked10.co.uk/home/best-divan-beds/bed-centre-charcoal-divan-double - Buy on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07HQZVJ82?tag=ranked10-21 Sixth because 1,229 ratings is the second-largest sample here, but the item count of 3 does not match the two things actually named. Two things stand out. First, 1,229 ratings at 4.2 stars is a sample large enough to mean something. Second, Number of Items reads 3 while Included Components reads 'Single Base Headboard' — plainly two objects, not three. The third item is never explained. The measurable spec is thinner than most: a 30.5cm base height, plush velvet upholstery, a matching padded headboard, a 190 × 135cm footprint and 18.5kg. Meanwhile Maximum Weight Recommendation is listed at 47.5kg, which is lower than several beds in this group and worth checking against your mattress before you order. That said, there are no drawers here and no mattress, so £175 buys base and headboard. Even so, for £175 you are getting a double with a headboard and a large review history, below the two £179+ options ranked above it. Pros: 1,229 ratings — the second-largest review sample in this list; 30.5cm base height with a matching padded headboard; Plush velvet upholstery in charcoal; £175 for a 4ft6 double, cheaper than the two 3ft singles above it; Available in 3ft, 4ft, 4ft6, 5ft and 6ft Cons: Number of Items says 3 while Included Components names only a base and a headboard; No drawers and no mattress; Maximum Weight Recommendation of 47.5kg is unusually low for a double; Compatible With Mattress Size reads 'queen', not 'double', on a 4ft6 bed; 10% of reviewers gave one star and 3% two stars ### 7. Bed Centre Black Plush Divan Base with Matching Headboard, Double - Price: £160.00 | Amazon rating: 4.2 from 149 ratings - Full review: https://www.ranked10.co.uk/home/best-divan-beds/bed-centre-black-plush-divan-double - Buy on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07HQS7V6N?tag=ranked10-21 Seventh because it is the cheapest base-plus-headboard double here at £160, and states its base height plainly in the bullets. The bullets here are short and specific: 14-inch high base units excluding feet, plush velvet fabric, timber construction, and a 3ft single base that arrives as one piece. At £160 for a 4ft6 double with a matching headboard, it undercuts the charcoal equivalent above by £15. In practice, the 38.5kg weight is more than double the 18.5kg of the charcoal version, which points to a different build. Worth noting, though: the bullet says the base is 14 inches high, roughly 35.6cm, while the dimensions field lists a 30cm height. Those two numbers do not agree. That said, Included Components lists only 'Headboard' and Number of Items reads 1, so the base is implied rather than named. Either way, 4.2 stars from 149 ratings and a Home & Kitchen rank of 286,253 make this a far less tested listing than the others. If you want a divan bed with headboard from a listing with a large review history, this is not the one. Pros: £160 for a 4ft6 double with matching headboard — the cheapest base-plus-headboard double here; 14-inch base height stated in the bullets; Plush velvet upholstery over a timber base, per the specs; The 3ft single version arrives as one piece; Available in 3ft, 4ft, 4ft6, 5ft and 6ft Cons: 149 ratings and a Home & Kitchen rank of 286,253 — a small, low-traffic listing; The 14-inch (about 35.6cm) bullet does not match the 30cm height in the dimensions field; Included Components names only the headboard; the base is not listed; No drawers and no mattress ### 8. Ripon King Divan Bed with Mattress, Headboard and Footboard - Price: £349.00 | Amazon rating: 4.9 from 23 ratings - Full review: https://www.ranked10.co.uk/home/best-divan-beds/ripon-footboard-king-divan-bed - Buy on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DPX9J2KT?tag=ranked10-21 Eighth despite topping both the price at £349 and the rating at 4.9 — because 23 ratings is too small a sample to lean on. This is the most expensive item in the group at £349 and the highest rated at 4.9. It is also the only king size divan bed on the list. Included Components reads 'Bed & Mattress', and the bullets name a 24-inch headboard, a 9-inch hand-tufted mattress with a Bonnell 13.5g coil unit, memory foam and a footboard. In practice, the king measures 199 × 153 × 114cm and weighs 45.4kg, with assembly required. Meanwhile the mattress detail is unusual for this list: a stated coil gauge, a stated thickness and a stated origin, Yorkshire. As a result, £349 is the only price here that buys base, headboard, footboard and mattress together at king size. However, 23 ratings is not a sample you can generalise from. The histogram shows 7% at four stars and 93% at five, with nothing below — a pattern that usually means the listing is young rather than flawless. Either way, there are no drawers at all. If you need storage, this is the wrong buy. Pros: The only king size divan bed in this list, at 199 × 153 × 114cm; Highest rating here at 4.9 stars; Included Components lists 'Bed & Mattress'; 9-inch hand-tufted mattress with a Bonnell 13.5g coil unit and memory foam; Handcrafted in Yorkshire from British timber, per the bullets Cons: £349 — £205 more than the £144 double base ranked third; Only 23 ratings, so the 4.9 carries little weight; Assembly required, and it is the heaviest item here at 45.4kg; No drawers — the listing names zero in its own title ### 9. Bed Centre Tweed Grey Flexby Divan Base with Optional Drawers - Price: £94.00 | Amazon rating: 4.1 from 385 ratings - Full review: https://www.ranked10.co.uk/home/best-divan-beds/bed-centre-tweed-grey-divan - Buy on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08V78524N?tag=ranked10-21 Ninth at £94 — the cheapest here, and the bluntest self-contradiction in the group, filed as base-only while the same page lists a drawer and headboard as included. The £94 is real and it is the floor of this price band, but read it carefully. The style field says 'Divan Base Only'. The Included Components field on the same page says 'Drawer, Headboard'. Only one of those can be right, and at £94 the base-only reading is far more plausible. In practice, the rest of the spec is unusually concrete for the price: a strong timber frame, a maximum weight recommendation of 500lb (about 227kg), five sizes from single to super king, and three configurations — base only, with headboard, or with storage drawers. Meanwhile the fabric is a grey tweed wool-look upholstery and no assembly is required. Even so, 4.1 stars from 385 ratings is the lowest score here, and 10% of reviewers sit at one star. Crucially, if you buy this expecting a headboard because the components field said so, you will be disappointed. If you want a divan bed base and nothing else, nothing here costs less. Pros: £94 — the lowest price in this group, £50 below the next cheapest; 500lb (about 227kg) maximum weight recommendation, the highest stated here; Five sizes from single to super king, in three configurations; Strong timber frame construction, per the bullets; No assembly required, with instructions supplied separately Cons: Style field says 'Divan Base Only' while Included Components says 'Drawer, Headboard'; 4.1 stars from 385 ratings — the lowest score in this list; 10% of reviewers gave one star and 5% two stars; The £94 price is not tied to any stated size in the listing ### 10. Bed Centre Platinum Charcoal Divan Base, Headboard and 2 Drawers - Price: £144.00 | Amazon rating: 4.0 from 300 ratings - Full review: https://www.ranked10.co.uk/home/best-divan-beds/bed-centre-platinum-divan-3ft - Buy on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08W8FTKK5?tag=ranked10-21 Tenth because 4.0 stars is the lowest rating here, and Number of Items reads 2 against three named components. This is a 3ft single base with two same-side drawers and a headboard for £144, and the components field names all three: 'Divan Base Drawers and Headboard'. Number of Items, however, reads 2. So the count and the description disagree by one item, which leaves you guessing at the packing list. In practice, the listing is built around its variations: sizes from 3ft single to 6ft super king, and drawer counts of two or four. Meanwhile the bullets repeat the same warning twice — check which variation you have selected. That repetition is a fair signal that buyers have picked the wrong configuration before. That said, 4.0 stars from 300 ratings is the lowest score in this group, with 11% at one star and 12% at three. Even so, at £144 for a single with headboard and two drawers, it matches the £144 double base on price while delivering more pieces. If drawer capacity is the priority, price up the four-drawer variant rather than this one. Pros: £144 for a 3ft single with headboard and two drawers; Drawer options of two or four, chosen at checkout; Sizes from 3ft single to 6ft super king; Hand made in the UK, per the bullets; The cheapest way here to get both a headboard and drawers on a single Cons: 4.0 stars — the lowest rating in this group; 11% of reviewers gave one star and 12% three stars; Number of Items reads 2 while three components are named; The bullets repeat the same 'check your variation' warning twice ## Verdict For most homes, the £144 grey linen double is the sensible buy: 4.5 stars from 215 ratings, and the lowest price of any double divan bed here. If you need a mattress in the same delivery, the £250 three-item set is the only listing whose item count, price and description all agree that a mattress is included — which is why it tops this ranking despite costing £156 more than the cheapest base. If you want a divan bed with storage and a headboard on a single, the £144 3ft with two drawers gives you both for the same money as the bare double; just check the variation twice, because that listing warns you to, and among cheap divan beds that warning is usually there for a reason.
