The Braun Silk-épil 9 9-980 is the most-reviewed epilator in this guide: 4.6 out of 5 stars from 2,422 ratings. It is also the most expensive of the three 9-series sets listed, at £201.82 — about £27 more than the £174.95 set — and Amazon ranks it 145th in Epilators & Accessories, against 20th for the cheaper of the two.

The listing argues with itself in more than one place. The title calls the 9-980 Rose Gold; the Colour field on the same page says Black. The title and the Water Resistance Level field both say waterproof, yet the Recommended Uses For Product field says Dry Use. The bullet list carries a single entry, "9-980", so the shaver, trimmer, bikini trimmer and exfoliator named in the title have no separate line of their own. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing — none of it is from our own testing.
