The Philips Epilator Series 4000 (model BRE257/00) is the last entry in this guide at number 10: a corded 3-in-1 hair removal kit for body and bikini at £57.91, with a 4.5-star average from 31 ratings. What the listing does not advertise is how it sells. Its Best Sellers Rank reads 2 in Epilators & Accessories — a higher category rank than anything else cited in this article, where the best-placed Braun 9-series sits at 20th and the most-reviewed one at 145th.

The spec sheet and the headline numbers do not quite line up, though. Amazon lists 31 ratings, but the star breakdown underneath shows 4 one-star, 4 two-star, 6 three-star, 8 four-star and 78 five-star entries — that is 100 ratings, not 31, and the 4.5 average is the one those 100 entries would produce. The rest of the file is consistent: the bullets promise a 3-in-1 starter kit (epilate, shave, trim), up to four weeks of smoothness, removal of hairs as short as 0.5 mm, two speed settings and an LED light, and the Power Source field confirms corded electric with a 245 g weight.

Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing as we found it — the price, the ranks, the spec fields and the reviews quoted. We have not handled or tested the epilator ourselves.
