The Snailax Shiatsu Foot Massager with Remote Control is number two in this guide: £87.96, rated 4.4 out of 5 from 11,654 ratings. Its spec table says 'Power Source: Corded Electric' and 'Is Product Cordless: No', so the remote control in the title is the only part that comes away from the machine. Everything that kneads is mains powered and stays where you plug it in. At £87.96 it also sits £7.03 below the 4.3-star mains-powered model named elsewhere in this guide.

Two other mains-powered machines in this guide both publish a 'Charging Time' — 30 days for one, 1 for the other — even though both say 'Is Product Cordless: No'. The spec list we hold for this Snailax carries no charging time at all, which fits its own spec table. What it does list: shiatsu deep kneading, vibration and air compression at three intensity levels; heat up to 131°F on two settings, usable on its own; auto shut-off; a machine-washable inner cover; space for feet up to size 13; and 2.73 kg spread across 32.5 x 17.3 x 34.8 cm. The 11,654 ratings split 67% five-star, 17% four-star, 8% three-star, 3% two-star and 5% one-star, so roughly one buyer in six stopped at three stars or fewer. Every figure on this page is taken from the Amazon listing for this model; none of it comes from testing we have done ourselves.
