The Newark Anthracite Electric Heated Towel Rail is a 1200 x 500mm wall-mounted ladder rail, oil filled and finished in anthracite. It sits at number six in this guide at £119.00, with 4.4 out of 5 from 62 reviews and a category rank of 7 in Towel Warmers.

Its headline number is the one to handle carefully. Newark quotes a heat output of 2166 BTU and then states that the rate is based on the Delta Rating of T60, so the figure only applies at that one laboratory condition. The listing gives no wattage anywhere, which means it cannot be lined up against rails that quote watts. The dimensions row is a second problem inside the same listing: the specification table reads 120L x 120W x 120H centimetres, while the title and the dimensions bullet both say 1200 x 500mm. The star breakdown supplied with the listing also adds up to 100 ratings against the 62 shown in the review count. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing; we have not tested the rail ourselves.

## Questions people ask

**Does the Newark rail give 2166 BTU?**

The listing states a BTU of 2166 and then says the rate is based on the Delta Rating of T60. No wattage is given, so that number applies only at that Delta T.

**What size is it?**

The title and the dimensions bullet both give 1200 x 500mm. The specification table gives 120L x 120W x 120H centimetres, which contradicts them.

**Does it arrive filled with oil?**

Yes. Newark says the electric radiator is oil filled and arrives pre-filled, and describes the body as mild steel in the bullets and Low Carbon Steel in the specification.

**How is it installed?**

The listing calls it wall mounted with a Screw-In installation type. It gives no fixing specification, weight or element details.

**What colour is it?**

Anthracite. It is listed under Colour, Finish Type and Metal Finish.

**How is it rated by buyers?**

4.4 out of 5 from 62 reviews, per the listing. The star breakdown that comes with the listing adds up to 100 ratings, which does not match that count.
