The NOFFA 5FT Orthopedic King Mattress is the first entry in our guide to king size mattresses. It is a hybrid: memory foam over more than 1,000 individually pocketed springs, split into 7 support zones, 30 cm thick and sized 150x200 cm. The listing price is £209.99 and it carries a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 120 ratings, of which 92 are five-star.

The finding on this ficha is the firmness. It is the number most buyers compare on, and this listing will not pin it down: the firmness field says "Medium Firm" as a single value, while the first bullet on the same page says the mattress feels firmer for anyone under 70 kg, medium between 70 and 80 kg, softer between 80 and 100 kg, and "may not provide optimal long-term support for users over 100 kg". The same page also splits on what the mattress is made of: the construction type field says "Memory Foam", the material type field says "Springs and Memory Foam", and the coil field counts 1000. The dimensions, at least, agree with each other — 150x200x30 cm in the title, the size field and the dimensions field. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing, not from any test of ours.

## Questions people ask

**What firmness is the NOFFA king mattress?**

The firmness field says "Medium Firm", but the same listing says firmness varies by body weight: firmer under 70 kg, medium between 70 and 80 kg, softer between 80 and 100 kg, and it "may not provide optimal long-term support for users over 100 kg".

**How many springs does the NOFFA mattress have?**

The coil field gives the number as 1000, and the bullet describes over 1,000 individually pocketed springs for independent response and reduced partner disturbance.

**What size is the NOFFA 5FT mattress?**

The title and the size field both give King, 150x200 cm, with 30 cm thickness; the item dimensions field reads 200 x 150 x 30 centimetres and the L x W x Thickness field reads 2L x 1.5W x 0.3Th metres — the same 200 by 150 by 30 cm.

**Is it a memory foam mattress or a spring mattress?**

The construction type field says "Memory Foam", the material type field says "Springs and Memory Foam", the coil count is 1000 and the title calls it a hybrid, so the listing names both.

**How heavy is the NOFFA king mattress?**

Item weight is listed as 31 kg.

**Can I return it if I do not get on with it?**

The listing offers a 100-night trial: NOFFA states that adapting to a new king mattress usually takes two weeks, which is why it offers a 100-day extended return period.
