The Paonies Nose Hair Trimmer is the number 2 entry in this guide. It is a battery-operated trimmer at £7.79 with a stated 4.3 out of 5 from 15,262 ratings — the second-heaviest rating count in the article, behind the Philips at 45,523 and well clear of the two Winsea listings at £6.45, which show 5,863 and 1,968. The comparison this listing does not make: the £6.45 SD009 quotes 8,000 RPM and the two £19.99 trimmers quote 10,000, while the Paonies listing quotes no motor speed at all.

What it does publish is a breakdown rather than a claim. 60% of its ratings sit at five stars, 25% at four, 10% at three, 2% at two and 3% at one, so 5% is at one or two stars — the Philips, with 45,523 ratings, is joint-lowest scoring in the guide at 4.0 with 8% at one star. Two other figures are harder to pin down: '2026' in the title is a model year, not a specification, and the stated 5% power saving does not say what it is measured against. Every number on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from testing we carried out.

## Questions people ask

**How many ratings does the Paonies TC-3550 have?**

The listing shows 4.3 out of 5 from 15,262 ratings, with 60% of them at five stars and 3% at one star.

**Does the Paonies TC-3550 need batteries?**

Yes. The listing gives Power Source as Battery Powered and Are Batteries Required as Yes, and the bullets state that one AA battery is not included.

**How long should one battery last?**

Paonies claims more than 6 months on one AA battery if you use the trimmer for 5 minutes at a time, which is the listing's own figure rather than a measured one.

**What motor speed does the Paonies TC-3550 quote?**

None. The Winsea SD009 in this guide quotes 8,000 RPM and the yoose and MANSPOT listings quote 10,000 RPM, but the Paonies listing gives no speed figure anywhere, only a claim that power saving is increased by 5%.

**Can the Paonies TC-3550 be used in the shower?**

The listing describes it as IPX7 waterproof with a removable, washable head. One Amazon reviewer reports the head coming apart easily while rinsing, so it is worth holding it over the basin.

**What does '2026 Professional' in the title refer to?**

It is a year label in the product title, not a spec you can check. The model number the listing gives is TC-3550.
