This is the Besbed ottoman double bed frame — a 4ft6 (135 x 190 cm) cream velvet storage bed with a wingback headboard, a lift-up base and no mattress included. It sits at number 7 in our guide to the best ottoman beds, and its own listing prices it at £189.99.

The ratings spread is what keeps it here rather than higher up, and it is the most even-handed spread in this guide so far. The 4.2 out of 5 comes from 109 ratings: 63 five-star and 18 four-star against 9 one-star and a single two-star, so 10 ratings — roughly 9% — sit in the bottom two bars. The spec fields also agree with each other, which is not a given in this category: the colour is cream in the title and in the Colour field, and 135 x 190 cm is exactly what the listing also calls Double. The one term it uses twice for the same thing is the storage — the bullet points describe a hydraulic lift-up bed board, while the separate special-features field says "Storage Drawer". Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing as it was supplied to us; we have not tested the bed ourselves.
