The DEWALT DCS367N-XJ is a bare-unit 18V brushless compact reciprocating saw at £141.00, and it takes first place in this guide with 4.8 out of 5 from 577 ratings. It is the one-hand-sized saw in the line-up, and the listing describes a lever-action keyless blade clamp, a four-position clamp for flush cutting, and an electronic motor brake.

The finding in this listing is what is absent rather than what is present. The two figures that actually decide how fast a reciprocating saw cuts — strokes per minute and stroke length in millimetres — appear nowhere in the specification table or the bullet points. What the table does give is a blade length of 18 centimetres, a number of teeth of 46 and a cutting angle of 180 degrees, plus an item length of 14.3 centimetres that plainly does not describe the saw you would unbox. The rating breakdown shown next to the 4.8 star average adds up to 100 reviews, while the listing counts 577 ratings. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing; we have not tested the tool ourselves.
