The HOMCOM Recliner Armchair Swivel Manual Reclining Rocker Chair is fifth in this guide, and at £229.99 it is the cheapest chair in it. This is a manual chair rather than a powered one: the back goes to a maximum 135°, the footrest lifts separately, and the seat swivels. It is rated to a maximum load of 150kg, uses a pocket spring system with a high back and armrests, and is covered in dark brown faux leather that wipes clean. Two cup holders and two pockets sit on the sides.

The catch is in the numbers around the product itself. The listing shows 4.3 out of 5 from 226 ratings, yet the star breakdown beside it covers only 100 of them: 69 five-star, 12 four-star, 10 three-star, 3 two-star and 6 one-star. The product name promises a rocker as well as a recliner and a swivel, while the bullets describe the recline and the swivel and never mention rocking at all. The copy says two pockets, while the Special Features field lists 'Side Pocket' in the singular. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing as it is written — we have not tested the chair ourselves.
