The Uliyati single is a 15cm gel memory foam mattress at £69.99, sitting at number five in this guide. Its listing is the one that survives the check the rest of the guide is built around: the three layers it names are 1cm of comfort memory foam, 2cm of gel memory foam and 12cm of supportive base foam, and 1 + 2 + 12 comes to 15cm — the same 15cm the title, the Item Thickness field and the Item Depth field all state. The same fiche also gives 'Number of Layers: 3', so the layer count and the layer breakdown agree with each other and with the thickness.

There is no coil count to sanity-check here, because there are no springs to count: the construction type is memory foam, listed as medium and finished with a smooth top. It weighs 9.98 kg, and because it is 15cm rather than the 25cm of the hybrids the guide weighs against each other, that number is not a like-for-like comparison with them. The 935 ratings carry a breakdown that only displays 100 of them — 75 five-star, 12 four-star, 5 three-star, 2 two-star and 6 one-star. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing, not from any testing we have carried out.

## Questions people ask

**How thick is the Uliyati single mattress?**

The listing gives 15cm in the title and repeats it under Item Thickness, Item Depth and Item Dimensions, which read 190 x 90 x 15cm.

**Do the three layers add up to that thickness?**

Yes. The bullet lists 1cm comfort memory foam, 2cm gel memory foam and 12cm supportive base foam, and 1 + 2 + 12 is 15cm — the same figure as the stated thickness.

**How many coils does it have?**

None. The Uliyati is a memory foam mattress rather than a pocket spring one, so there is no coil count on this listing to check.

**How long before it can be slept on?**

The listing says it reaches 90% of its size a few hours after unpacking and asks for 24-72 hours for it to fully expand.

**Is it firm or soft?**

The listing describes the Uliyati as Medium.

**What is the cover made of?**

Polyester, in grey, described as breathable, skin-friendly and dirt-resistant.
