The WORKPRO 108-Piece Socket Set sits at number 2 in our guide to socket sets. It is a two-drive kit: 1/4in and 1/2in ratchet handles with a 72-tooth reversible mechanism and quick-release buttons, packed in a plastic case measuring 37 x 8 x 28 cm. The listing price is £55.99 and the rating is 4.7 from 3,424 customer reviews.

The finding on this one is quiet but worth stating. This is the listing in the guide whose numbers agree with each other: the set name, the "Number of Items" field and the "Number of Pieces" field all say 108, with no second figure competing against it. The set name also tells you where part of that 108 goes, because it calls itself a "Socket Wrench and Bit Set" — and the Drive System field lists slotted, Phillips and hex, which are bit types rather than drive types. So the headline figure still counts bits and accessories alongside the sockets; this listing simply does not dress the number up as anything else. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing, not from our own testing.
