At number 7 in this guide, the Russell Hobbs Easy Store Pro — model number 26730 — is the £25.99 option: a 2400W steam iron with a ceramic non-stick soleplate, a 320ml tank, a 30-second heat-up claim and a wrap-and-clip cable system. Its listing is unusually consistent about its own headline figure. The title carries 2400W and the specification table carries 2400 watts, the same number twice, which is not true of two other irons in this top ten.

Where the Easy Store Pro gives ground is steam and volume of feedback. It claims a 180g steam shot and 40g of continuous steam, against the 70 g/min claimed by the £34 Russell Hobbs Power Steam Ultra, and its 1,232 ratings are a long way from that model's 42,507. Two numbers on the page also do not sit neatly together: the star breakdown adds up to 100 responses while the headline figure is 1,232 ratings, and the item dimensions are given as 80.3 x 31.5 cm, which is longer than an iron. Every figure on this page comes from the Amazon listing and its customer reviews, not from any testing of our own.
