The NOVECRAFTO NGF-17B is a six-step aluminium folding ladder at £79.95, rated 4.4 out of 5 from 73 ratings. It comes in at number 8 in our guide to step ladders, and the advert describes it as a Lightweight Tall Folding Heavy Duty 6 Step Ladder made of silver aluminium, with non-slip steps, non-slip rubber feet and a safety handrail.

What holds it at number 8 is that the listing argues with itself. The spec table gives Maximum Height as 27 Inches, while the bullet text for the same ladder says it stands at H 65.75 inches (167 cm) open. The bullet also gives a folded height of 71.65 inches (182 cm), which is taller than the open figure. Weight splits the same way: 5 kg in the Item Weight field, 9.15 lbs (4.15 kg) in the bullet. Load capacity is the one number that holds together — 150 kg in the spec table and 331 lbs / 150 kg in the bullet. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from any testing we have carried out.

## Questions people ask

**How tall is the NOVECRAFTO 6 step ladder when open?**

The advert gives two answers. The spec table lists Maximum Height as 27 Inches, while the bullet for the same ladder says H 65.75 inches (167 cm) open, and the Item Dimensions line says 167H centimetres.

**How much weight does it hold?**

Both the Load Capacity field and the bullet say 150 kg; the bullet adds 331 lbs for the same figure, so these two agree.

**How heavy is it to carry?**

The bullet says the aluminium frame weighs 9.15 lbs (4.15 kg). The Item Weight spec field lists 5 kg, so the two numbers in the advert do not match.

**Does it fold away for storage?**

Yes. The NOVECRAFTO is described as collapsible, with a folded size of H 71.65 x 18.5 x 3.94 inches (182 x 47 x 10 cm). Note that this folded height is larger than the 65.75 inch open height given in another bullet of the same advert.

**What are the steps and feet like?**

The advert describes non-slip steps on every level, non-slip rubber feet on each leg, deep treads and a safety handrail with a wide platform, in orange polypropylene.

**What does the rating look like in detail?**

The advert shows 4.4 out of 5 from 73 ratings. The star breakdown on the page — 67 five-star, 18 four-star, 8 three-star, 4 two-star and 3 one-star — adds up to 100, not 73.
