The Harbour Housewares Soft Close Oval Toilet Seat is a white seat with a soft-close hinge and a quick-release button, and it sits at number eight in this guide at £15.99. That price makes it the cheapest seat in the article. It is rated 4.2 out of 5 from 632 ratings, and the star breakdown supplied with the listing runs from 64 five-star marks down to 8 one-star ones.

The mismatch on this fiche is the material. The first bullet sells "premium Duraplast", while the Material field on the same listing reads simply "Plastic" — the two do not agree. What the listing never does is quote a load figure: there is no kilogram number anywhere in the bullets or the specs, standing next to seats in this guide that advertise 200 kg, 175 kg and 150 kg. The only measurements given are 44L x 36.5W centimetres in the Item Dimensions field, with no pan-length range alongside them. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from any test we ran.

## Questions people ask

**What is the Harbour Housewares seat made of?**

The bullets call it "premium Duraplast", but the Material field on the same listing reads "Plastic". The two do not match, so the material claim is worth reading twice.

**How much does it cost?**

£15.99 as listed, which makes it the cheapest toilet seat in this guide.

**Will it fit my pan?**

The listing says it fits most standard toilet pans with a classic curved profile. Unlike some rivals it quotes no pan-length range; the only measurement given is 44L x 36.5W centimetres in the Item Dimensions field.

**Does it have a weight limit?**

The listing quotes no load figure for the Harbour Housewares seat — no kilograms appear in the bullets or in the specifications.

**What do the soft-close and quick-release features do?**

Both are described in the bullets: the soft-close mechanism lowers the seat and lid quietly instead of slamming, and the quick-release function lets the seat be lifted off in seconds for cleaning.

**What warranty comes with it?**

The listing gives a 2 year warranty, on model number HH-BRS234000.
