The SA Products Oval Quick Release Toilet Seat takes the top spot in this guide. At £17.99 it is the cheapest seat on the list, it carries 4.4 out of 5 from 10,537 ratings, and Amazon's own ranking puts it at 1 in Toilet Seats (127 in DIY & Tools). The listing describes an O-shaped oval seat with a soft close mechanism driven by ABS cylinders, one-touch quick release hinges, and a full set of fixings in the box.

The headline claim is the lid, and it does not match itself. The bullets call it a "durable O-shaped thermoset lid" and the Item Highlight repeats thermoset, while the Material field underneath lists Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) — a different plastic. Two other fields disagree with the bullets: the bullets measure the seat as "43.18 x 36.5" with no unit at all, while Item Dimensions L x W gives 43.2L x 36.5W centimetres, and Operation Mode is listed as Automatic. Unlike the seats ranked below it, this listing publishes no weight capacity anywhere. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing; we have not tested the seat ourselves.
