The Sanilo Soft Close Toilet Seat sits at number 7 in this guide. It is the wood one: £46.74 for a seat the listing describes as "sturdy, break-resistant wood" in the Black Wood finish, with a soft-closing hinge and a lid that comes off at the press of a button. It carries 4.2 out of 5 from 2,972 ratings, and the breakdown on the page runs 67 five-star, 13 four-star, 7 three-star, 4 two-star and 9 one-star - which adds to 100.

What it does not carry is a load figure. The SURFOU further up this guide advertises 200 kg, the WOLTU 175 kg and the two DERW seats 150 kg; this Sanilo listing quotes no maximum weight at all, so at £46.74 - more than the £42.80 SURFOU and the £29.99 WOLTU - you are paying the highest price here for the one seat with no weight number to compare against. Two specification fields are worth reading slowly: Operation Mode reads "Automatic" on a seat that is soft-close, and Model Number simply reads "Sanilo", the brand again. The dimensions, at 48L x 37.7W centimetres, are at least seat-sized rather than hinge-sized. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from any test of ours.
