The Goodyear GOD1000 is a 2-ton trolley jack listed at £38.24 and rated 4.3 out of 5 from 2,209 ratings, and it takes the number two place in this guide. It is the straightforward case in the group: the headline figure and the specification table agree with each other. The product name says 2 tons (and repeats it in Spanish, "2 Toneladas carretilla"), the Load Capacity field says 2 Tons, and the bullets say it raises weights of up to 2 tons. Maximum Lifting Height is given as 330 millimetres. The listing describes the same jack two ways — "Hydraulic Jack" in the title, "Goodyear 2 Ton Trolley Jack Easy, Convenient and Safe" in the Item Type Name — which is two descriptions of one tool rather than a contradiction.

The number that does not add up on this page is the review count. The rating line claims 4.3 out of 5 from 2,209 ratings, but the histogram printed with it adds to 100: 68 five-star, 14 four-star, 7 three-star, 3 two-star and 8 one-star. A hundred ratings cannot be the same quantity as 2,209 ratings, and the listing does not say which figure covers what — so treat the histogram as a sample of the whole and read one star as 8 per cent of that sample, not of 2,209. The "Customer Reviews" row in the specification table is not a figure at all; it is a block of Amazon page code sitting where a count should be. Everything here, the specification table, the bullets and the reviews, comes from the Amazon listing and not from any test of our own.
