At number five in this guide, the Russell Hobbs Desire 24702 is a corded 3-in-1 hand blender: a stainless steel blending leg, an electric whisk and a 500ml chopping bowl with lid and blade, plus a 700ml beaker. It is listed at £34.00 and carries a 4.0 rating from 6,839 reviews.

The finding on this one is a power figure that does not hold still. The title and the specification table both call the 24702 a 500W blender, while the fourth bullet describes a "400W motor", and the listing offers no explanation for the two numbers, so the lower figure is the one to plan around. The same page lists 2 speeds in its specification table and "2 speeds & pulse setting" in a bullet, and 12,000 RPM under its special features. Everything below comes from the Amazon listing for this product; we have not tested the blender ourselves.
