## Is the COMFEE' 12 Place Settings worth buying?

Yes, the COMFEE' 12 Place Settings is worth buying for a couple or a small family who want a full-size integrated machine for £199, and 864 owners rate it 4.0. It holds 12 place settings, runs at 47 dB, and covers a 70°C hygiene wash and a 30 minute rapid cycle. The cabinet door front is not included, so you pay for that separately.

It suits a kitchen with a standard 60 cm housing and a household that runs one full load a day rather than several. The 35.5 kg body is heavy enough to need two people to lift into place, and the adjustable feet give up to 50 mm of height play. For the money, few full-size machines here match the review base or the price.

## How much does the COMFEE' 12 Place Settings cost per place setting?

The COMFEE' 12 Place Settings costs £16.58 for every place setting it holds: £199 divided by 12 covers. That is the lowest cost per cover of any 60 cm machine on this list, and it is £8.02 below the £24.60 a setting of the 15 place setting Hotpoint H7I Maxi Space.

A place setting is one full cover: a plate, a bowl, a glass, a cup and cutlery. At £16.58 each, filling the basket with 12 covers costs you the same as one takeaway meal for two. The money saved against a £369 machine pays for the missing door panel and leaves change.

## What comes in the box and how do you live with it?

The COMFEE' 12 Place Settings measures 59.8 cm wide, 81.5 cm high and 55 cm deep, which is the standard 60 cm housing, and it weighs 35.5 kg. Adjustable feet give 50 mm of height adjustment, so it levels on an uneven floor. The interior takes plates, pots and pans up to 300 mm across, which covers a large dinner plate or a roasting tin.

In the box you get the machine body, a drain hose, an inlet hose, an installation kit and a user manual. The front panel and handle are not included, so your fitter matches a door to your cabinets. The MSmartHome app lets you plan, start and pause a wash from your phone, warns you when salt or rinse aid runs low, and reports water and electricity use.

## Where does the COMFEE' 12 Place Settings fall short?

The COMFEE' 12 Place Settings runs at 47 dB, which is 5 dB louder than the 42 dB Hotpoint H7I Maxi Space, so in an open plan kitchen you will hear it. It holds 12 place settings, three fewer than that Hotpoint, and it has no door that opens itself to dry, unlike the Candy at £279.

The front panel is not supplied, and that cost sits outside the £199. The 35.5 kg weight makes it a two-person lift into the housing, and the 11 litres of water a cycle is not the lowest here. It also comes with a two-year warranty rather than a longer one.

## How does the COMFEE' 12 Place Settings compare with the Hotpoint H7I Maxi Space and the Candy?

The Hotpoint H7I Maxi Space costs £369, which is £170 more, and gives you three extra place settings and a 42 dB wash. Choose the Hotpoint if a big family fills 15 covers a day and you want the quietest run. The COMFEE' 12 is the better buy for one or two people who do not need those three extra covers.

The Candy asks £279, £80 more than the COMFEE' 12, and brings 14 place settings with a door that opens itself to dry. Pick the Candy if drying plastics and glasses matters more than saving £80. The COMFEE' 12 stays ahead on cost per setting at £16.58 against £19.93 for the Candy.
