The OXO Good Grips is the most expensive day-to-day scale in this ranking, and it is bought for one feature the listing calls out in the name: a pull-out display. The screen extends on an arm so that a large bowl or a wide pan does not hide the reading, which is the single most common annoyance with flat kitchen scales.

Beyond that it is a 5 kilogram stainless steel scale, so the specification is not the reason to pay the premium; the ergonomics are. At 55 pounds it is several times the price of the glass scales that match its capacity. At the time of collection it carried 8,566 ratings at 4.7 stars, the best average on this list alongside two others. Everything here comes from the Amazon listing rather than our own testing.
