The Tefal Comfort Max Stainless Steel 5-Piece Pots and Pans Set is at number two in this guide, at £96.00 with 4.5 out of 5 from 5,597 ratings. It is also another listing where the headline number and the spec table do not say the same thing. The title says five pieces. The spec field Number of Pieces says 7. The field directly underneath it, Number of Items, says 5 — and 5 is the figure the contents list supports.

Read the Included Components line and you get a 14cm milkpan, 16cm and 18cm saucepans with lids, and 20cm and 24cm frypans. That is five pans. The extra two that turn 5 into 7 are the lids, named as part of the saucepans rather than as pieces in their own right. None of this is a fault in the cookware: the listing describes 18/10 stainless steel, glass lids, induction compatibility, dishwasher-safe parts and a Thermo-Spot that turns solid red at the right heat. It is simply a question of what the number on the box is counting. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from any testing we have carried out.

## Questions people ask

**How many pans do I actually get?**

The Included Components field lists a 14cm milkpan, 16cm and 18cm saucepans with lids, and 20cm and 24cm frypans. That is five pans, which matches the spec field Number of Items: 5.

**Why does the listing say 7 pieces then?**

The spec field Number of Pieces on this Tefal Comfort Max set (model C972S544) reads 7, while Number of Items reads 5. The two-piece gap lines up with the two lids named alongside the 16cm and 18cm saucepans in the Included Components line.

**Does the smallest pan come with a lid?**

The Included Components field names lids with the 16cm and 18cm saucepans only. The 14cm milkpan is listed without one.

**Is the set induction compatible?**

Yes. The bullets state it is compatible with all hob types, including induction.

**What is it made from?**

The bullets specify 18/10 stainless steel, and the Closure Material field lists glass for the lids.

**Is it dishwasher safe?**

The spec field 'Is the item dishwasher safe?' reads Yes.
