The Andrew James Ice Crusher Slush Machine is the cheapest thing in this guide at £38.99, and the only one here that does not pretend to freeze anything. The title calls it a slush machine; the bullets call it an electric ice crusher that crushes and grinds ice you supply and dispenses the shavings into a jug. That jug is where the one number in the title comes from: 1 litre, BPA free plastic, sold as a measuring jug. It is what you collect the ice in, not a tank of ready-made slush, and the listing quotes no larger capacity anywhere.

The rest of the numbers are modest and consistent: a 25-watt motor, 2.36 kg, 23 x 19 x 32 cm, and a specification table that answers "No" to auto shutoff. The rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 768 ratings, and the published breakdown puts 64 blocks in the five-star column against 7 in the one-star one. One spec row is worth reading twice: "Guaranteed software updates until" is listed as unknown, which is a field that means nothing on an ice crusher. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing as it stands, not from any testing we have done.

## Questions people ask

**Does the Andrew James ice crusher make slush on its own?**

The listing describes it as an electric ice crusher that crushes and grinds ice you put in, with a built-in stirrer to stop the ice sticking together and a dial for fine or coarse shaved ice. It never claims to freeze liquid, so the ice comes from you.

**How much can it hold at once?**

The listing quotes a 1-litre measuring jug, BPA free, which is where the crushed ice collects. No bigger tank or reservoir figure is published.

**What motor does it use?**

25 watts, according to the specification table.

**Can I change how finely the ice is crushed?**

Yes. The listing says you choose between fine or coarse shaved ice by turning a dial on the machine.

**Is there an auto shutoff?**

The specification table lists Auto Shutoff as No.

**What warranty comes with it?**

The listing says the machine and all ice dispensers are covered by a manufacturer's warranty. It does not state a length.
