The Cocoon 3000WX is a wooden hen house with an integrated run, priced at £229.99 and placed fourth in this guide. The listing gives its overall size as 250cm (L) x 76cm (W) x 103cm (H), including the nest box and roof overhangs, and the model name calls it an 8ft coop. It comes with a nest box, perches, a metal-lined pull-out tray and opening roof panels, and the listing says it suits 3–4 birds, depending on breed and size.

The number worth reading twice is that last one. The enclosure is two and a half metres end to end and just over a metre tall, and the listing states in capitals that this is not a walk-in coop — so the 3–4 bird figure belongs to something you reach into rather than step inside. One of the reviews below puts the practical limit at two hens. Two fields in the Amazon spec table also tell you nothing about a hen house: 'Dog Breed Size: Large' and a unit count of 130. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing and its customer reviews, not from any testing of our own.
