This 36-inch metal crate costs £36.99 and is rated 4.5 stars from 522 ratings, with two doors, a removable tray and a folding frame.

It takes seventh because the sample is thin but the reviews are specific — one owner bought it to replace a fabric crate their dog had destroyed, which is the clearest statement here of why a wire crate is the one you leave a dog in.
