The Aivituvin 8-panel dog playpen sits at number 6 in this guide. It is a heavy-duty metal exercise pen rather than one of the acrylic pens that carry the biggest price tags here, and its £69.99 is below both of them: £89.99 for the 8-panel acrylic pen and £99.99 for the 10-panel one. The Amazon listing gives it 4.8 out of 5 from 31 ratings and states item dimensions of 138L x 138W x 79H cm.

The panel count is the part worth slowing down on. Eight panels here against ten on the £99.99 acrylic pen, yet 138 x 138 cm is 1.90 m² of floor, against 1.06 m² for the acrylic pen listed at 125 x 85 cm and 1.00 m² for the 8-panel acrylic at 100 x 100 cm. Eight panels around a 138 cm square works out at roughly 69 cm a panel, where the two acrylic listings work out at 42 cm and 50 cm — fewer panels buying more space, not less. The listing is not tidy everywhere: it marks assembly as required while one bullet says set-up and take-down need no tools, and its warranty field reads simply "2" with no unit. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing, not from our own testing.
